MSTB, Inc. starts all projects by digitizing contract documentation and beginning a chain of communication with all involved contractors, owners and engineers through email and web uploads. Documentation, daily reports, updated TAB forms and punch-lists are readily available digitally and project status is always known by all parties.

After all project documentation is digital, our Pre-Field Engineering department color codes, numbers and prepares the drawings for the field crews to use on site. These Terminal Location Drawings are also provided with the Final TAB Report in color to make the review of the report that much easier. The drawings are color coded to match the Excel Workbook for each project. All TAB forms are custom built for each project and arranged in an easy to follow, organized format. A Design Review is performed for all projects regardless of size or complexity. The Design Review outlines any discrepancies found during Pre-Field Engineering that prohibit the completion of TABs. The Design Review, TAB Procedures, TAB forms and Terminal Location Drawings are all compiled into a Pre- Field Engineering Report that is submitted to the engineer for review and approval before field work begins. This is the best means of insuring that the engineer’s intent is met and that the work to be done on site is correct and accurate.

With the approved Pre-Field Engineering Report in hand, the field crews can concentrate on actually performing test and balance work rather than dealing with unresolved issues, mathematical errors and unanswered questions. Crews enter all data directly into laptops on site and up-to-date information is always available. Daily Reports are emailed at the end of every day on site with information regarding the days activities, findings and any issues encountered. Punch list items are submitted to the contractor each day so that no time is lost in the process. Our automated forms let the technician know if something is out of tolerance or data is missing, thus eliminating return trips and extended time in preparing the TAB Report at the end of projects.
